TRADITIONAL BASIC II (In-person classroom)

Basic II is designed for riders who want to develop beginning street riding skills, but who are comfortable with the basics of turning, shifting, stopping, and balancing the motorcycle.

Content: Classroom and on-cycle instruction in street-strategies and emergency situation skills. You will practice cornering, braking, and swerving maneuvers on the riding course.

Duration: Approximately 9.5 hours combined classroom instruction and hands-on practice on the motorcycle. Course end times are approximate and may vary due to weather or other circumstances. All students MUST attend the classroom AND riding session to receive a completion card.

Cost: $189

Provided: Motorcycles are provided. For this course, you may choose to ride one of our motorcycles or bring your own with no size restrictions.

Requirements: See STAR gear requirements. A motorcycle permit or endorsement is not needed; however, a driver's license or permit is required.

Additional Information: Successful completion of this course will waive ITD's skills test requirement, if the endorsement is added within two years of passing the course. More info.
