STAR  Rider Incentives

After you've successfully completed an Idaho STAR rider education course, you'll receive a completion card in the mail. In addition to the personal pride you will feel after completing a STAR course, there are some other benefits that come with your accomplishment:

• STAR training is associated with a 79% reduced crash risk and a 89% reduction in the risk of a fatal crash.
• Within one year of your Basic I, Basic II, or Experienced Course, present your completion card when you apply for an Idaho motorcycle endorsement and the riding skills test will be waived.
• Many insurance companies offer a premium discount to riders who have successfully completed an Idaho STAR course.
• Many local motorcycle dealers and shops offer generous discounts to Idaho STAR graduates. A list of those dealer discounts can be found HERE.
• You'll experience a new level of confidence and increased skills, providing you with a safer and more enjoyable motorcycling experience.
