Top Ten Reasons You Should Take a STAR Course
(or any motorcycle training)

Whether you are a veteran rider or new to the sport, taking motorcycle training makes sense. If you are still not sure why you should take a motorcycle class – be it from Idaho STAR or any other training program, keep reading; you’ll find a few good reasons why it makes good sense:

10- Discounts galore. All STAR graduates receive a completion card which entitles them to discounts for one calendar year to 44 dealers and businesses. Additionally, your insurance company may offer incentives if you take a motorcycle safety course.

9- It’s a heck of a time. And by that we mean it’s fun. Riders enjoy taking our courses. Some STAR graduates keep coming for more; others even enroll with friends or family members for an extra good time!

8- It’s more affordable than insurance and gives you a whole lot more in return.

7- My bike won’t do that… Yes, it will!  (With just a few exceptions). We’ll show you how. During our more advanced courses, you’ll practice low-speed maneuvers on your own bike. For those willing to try it, our Precision Riding Clinic will help you put your bike where you want it, when you want it, every time.

6- Do you own a bike? Don’t buy it yet, take our Introduction to Riding, Basic I, or Basic II course and use our motorcycles before you make your big purchase.

5- Get a waiver from taking the state licensing skills test. Many state-approved programs give this perk to graduates. Successful completion of our Basic I, Basic II and Experienced Courses waives the Idaho DMV skills test.

4- You don’t know what you don’t know. We hear it over and over from our graduates:

“I’ve been riding since forever and I still learned a few new things I’ll be using in my riding.”

3- Real time feedback. Our certified instructors will give you individual, constructive coaching while you are practicing the drills. Whether you’re just learning to ride or polishing your skills on your own bike, this feedback is guaranteed to improve your skills.

2- Reduced crash risk. Training helps and increases your safety. STAR training is associated with a 79% reduced crash risk and an 89% reduction in the risk of a fatal crash.

1- Bonus points! Your wife/husband/parents/significant other will really appreciate your commitment to safety.
