STAR Basic II Course
The Basic II Course is designed for riders who want to develop beginning street riding skills, but who are comfortable with the basics of turning, shifting, stopping, and balancing the motorcycle. This 9-hour course includes both classroom and on-cycle instruction in street-strategies and emergency situation skills. You will practice cornering, braking, and swerving maneuvers on the riding course. If you are looking for a more advanced course, click here.
For this course, you may choose to ride one of our motorcycles or bring your own. A valid driver's license or driver's permit is required for this class, but a motorcycle endorsement is optional. If you are looking to obtain your motorcycle operator endorsement, successful completion of this course will waive ITD's skills test requirement if the endorsement is added within one year of passing the course. Tuition for the Basic II Course is $135. Learn more about the Basic II Course.
