Boise, IDAHO, July 5, 2011 – Idaho motorcycle riders can now be among the first to participate in rider training similar to what Idaho police motorcycle officers experience. Idaho STAR, the state rider-training program, has opened registration to its brand new Precision Riding Clinic to fully endorsed riders with a minimum of two years or 10,000 miles of current street-riding experience.
The Precision Riding Clinic is an advanced-level course designed for motorcycle riders whose skills are already past the ‘learn to ride’ and ‘get your endorsement’ stage. The course curriculum was developed for riders who already have significant skill and experience but are interested in learning how to safely execute more advanced riding techniques.
“Our team has been working for the past two years to create this advanced curriculum,” said Stacey “Ax” Axmaker, Director of Idaho STAR. “Riders in the clinic develop skills, confidence, and consistency to put their bike where they want, when they want – every time. We’re excited to get more riders out on the course and hear what they have to say about the new material.”
The Precision Riding Clinic is the latest addition to Idaho STAR’s lineup of motorcycle and scooter riding courses which includes the Basic I, Basic II, Sidecar/Trike and Experienced courses. Seats are available for each of these courses online at www.idahostar.org. Registration is now open for all courses through September.
While motorcycles are provided for students taking basic-level courses, those enrolling in the Precision Riding Clinic must bring their own. The next Precision Riding Clinics will be held in:
- Idaho Falls (clinic offered September 10-11)
- Meridian (clinic offered September 24-25)
Visit the Idaho STAR website (www.idahostar.org) or call the Idaho STAR office at 1-888-280-7827 for more information on the Precision Riding Clinic and other Idaho STAR courses.
